what I did

well, I went to Naramata and played cello at my friend's wedding. I would definitely like to go back to naramata....what a beautiful place. So quiet, right on the lake, loads of vineyards.



here's the cake. I had the Parmesan crusted Halibut on a bed of beet root risotto...wow.



Then we went to the cabin. It's coming along nice.

that's my buddy at Stanley Park. He is just like a dog - whenever I would stop scratching, he would lean on me and nudge me with his head for more scratches.

Birthday times

It's my birthday. hooray.

I am making brunch for my family as I am the best cook.

My sister and her 2 kids are visiting from Ontario. Family times!

I wonder what kind of presents I will get? I am one of those people who actually likes their birthdays. I love presents and an excuse to hang out with all my friends.

I had a picnic on Sunday with all the friends. Those of you who came, thanks!

Naramata for my friend's wedding. I think I am going to play cello at it, there will be a champagne/bocce reception to follow. wicked!

My sister and her 2 kids are coming to visit. Intense family times are upon us.

Ryan and I have been rehearsing the new album. we have a rad drummer.

I could use a little more park time on a blanket....maybe today?

so I am in Saskatchewan, today I paint the cabin. My brain is so relaxed from doing manual labour....no customer interactions, no phone calls, no music, just bad radio stations whilst labouring.

Album questions. I truly beleive the album will be released in August or September. It is ready to go.

Awkward Stage and Attics and Cellars are playing a show...I believe it is Friday, June 13th at the Biltmore (but I may have those facts off a little bit). I was going to play with both bands (double duty!) but I will be away...so go and support, but I won't see you there.

oh, I hope the paint goes well...

hey, I went to the Breeders concert on Friday night at Richards! The best! Divine! It has been a long time since I drank beers and watched a fantastic pop band play fantastically! It was great. R.I.P. Richards soon.

scooters n such

I went to the Victoria Scooter Rally this weekend and I am still alive! My Vespa 100 Sport carried me safely to and from the great victoria-land. I went with Ryan, Gavin, Moneca, Greg, Rose Richard Felix, Deano + Jennifer, and added a bunch of new friends to the scooter clan as well.

My friend Gavin took some sweet photos that I will post over the next coupla days. Someday Gavin will be famous from his photos...just you wait!

Oh the sweet surf line motel...I miss you already.

me and my dad went to Lynden washington. we had dutch food, donuts, and took pictures of windmills. oh ya and we held handguns at a hunting store! what a crazy place!

I went to Disneyland for the weekend with my mom for her birthday. what an exhausting place. Ryan's album is done. Artwork time now!

sweet xmas memories although it is February

so one night, me and my friends went on the Christmas Train (I think I blogged about the night already). We came home and my neighbour Gavin showed me the miracles of the Macro button on my digital camera whilst taking photos of Christmas-styled assorted candle holders. Perhaps this isn't the most close-up or creative of my camera endeavors from the night, but a monster did happen to appear in this shot. Some sort of large, land living octopus thing overtook the small town of Bigtree By the Glen that evening.

then I went to sleep, got up and ate some oatmeal with flax seeds and blueberries.
